A completely new community will be created in the town centre over the next 20 years. Over 3000 new homes are due to be built in the long term. This new community will be a mix for families, workers young and old, and local people looking for a new living experience at the heart of their town. We are not about just building flats for London workers that will give nothing back to Basildon, but creating homes that people and families can aspire to live in, all in their home town of Basildon.

A residential quarter is already being created around the train station, with the Icon development recently completed, and Weston Homes already started on their ‘Morello Quarter’ development behind the train station.

This new community will attract more restaurants, more cafes and more entertainment into the town centre, ensuring that we have a town centre alive with activity and vibrant after the shops shut.
