New Campus Basildon will change the face of education in the Basildon area over the next 5 years. The town centre is set to get an influx of students when the New Campus Basildon interim college facility opens in September. The temporary facility will be in the Icon, opposite Basildon train station, and is another piece in the regeneration jigsaw.

The LSC are investing £100million into a new town centre campus that will open for September 2012, but in the meantime, the temporary facility will offer courses in health and social care, which will help support the growth in the hospital and health clinics in the area; business administration, supporting local entrepreneur's; sports development, with links with the Sporting Village; and, engineering, a strong economic sector in Basildon.
